A more practical way to view pages on deviantART, the header is always fixed at the top, and can be switched between compact mode (top) and full mode (bottom)!

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Although `DEVlANT joined our community only a year ago, he's made sure to make his mark in as many ways as possible. Critiques
However, I think that it lacks functionality.
For example, if I am visiting your page and scrolling down and then I decide I would like to look at your statistics, I would have to scroll back to top (on the original header) or hit your name that would take me back to the main page and in turn create a step that wouldn't be necessary if "statistics" was included in the header.
So basically certain functions should remain in the header that you did not include.
Another idea to think about is DA's logo. DA's logo should always remain in header.
A better idea would be to just keep the header as is and make that fixed.
Why? I suggest this because of functionality purposes. ie the "search" button and other features that should be seen at all times for the user are lost and extra steps are needed just to get to them.
I understand that your idea was to "compact" the header, but when you compact something too much, it begins to lose its purpose.
